While the layout is nice and info easy to navigate the app is not accurate If I look at the app results and then look at the website results the website will have accurate bus information and time The app will be wrong Just this morning the app said the bus was delayed and hadnt even left the terminal while at the same time the website said the bus was about to arrive The bus arrived when the website said it would Now if only the website would get rid of that annoying link saying hey use the app Website is more accurate

The interface is nice Often have difficulty connecting even when I appear to have a solid WiFi connection or full bars Also I cannot seem to get the application to update location without exiting and relaunching Nice interface

This app is good but needs a lot of fixing I think they could just make it a little simpler and faster as the one online Really

I just switched to this app version from the previous one and it crashes every single time I go to the transit tab This is a serious flaw because it means you cant check on a bus unless youre already near its stop Last night I wanted to use the app to check on a bus that left from a particular bart station before riding there and couldnt Please fix this Crashes repeatedly

This app is not accurate When I check it gives me the times for a stop that is 12 blocks away The webapp on the other hand gives me the times for the exact stop I am standing at The interface is too cluttered and confusing as well Takes me a bit to figure out what Im looking for where as the webapp only takes me a second to get the info I want Needs a lot of work and will delete it and stick with the webapp UPDATE Its working a lot better now Its getting the accurate location and giving me better times Still not happy about the interface but I guess I will get used to it after a few more days My one star review is now three Webapp is better

Although the app adds some new features like alerts and a favorites tab it is hobbled by bugs and odd design decisions The dreaded estimated asterisk appears even on buses two minutes away and estimated bus positions do not appear on the map Inbound and outbound buses which are grouped by line on the web app are inexplicably shaded in alternating colors making it harder to scan multiple lines at a glance or quickly find the line you want For now the mobile site offers a better experience but Id try the app again once the kinks are worked out Inferior to mobile web site

Ive been using nextbuscom for years Its about to an app rolled out You guys have never fell short of providing reliable accurate information concerning bus arrival because we all know theyre never too reliable Ive never felt more comfortable with allowing my location services to be on Finally

After trying to use it half a dozen times Im back to the web app This app is inaccurate plain and simple The maps are terrible small and inaccurate The bus stop Im waiting at is often not even listed Arriving times are wrong Back to web app

This app is very useful and faster than other transit apps Awesome

After using this app for a few days and thinking that NextBus finally made a proper upgrade to its app the Transit tab began crashing the whole app each time I tried to use it to search for a specific stop This bug now makes the new improved app less useful than the old version I am using iOS 841 on an iPhone 6 Transit tab crashes

Heres whats needed Keep the bus lists expanded through refreshes Right now they minimize every time it refreshes requiring an extra tap to reopen and then to scroll back to find the line you were monitoring order the busses better Make sure the same line is grouped together for both directions allow keeping any and all bus services expanded at once Right now if you look at one it minimizes the other and vice versa Web app has better UI

Each time you start it it displays the nearby transit systems and you must select it EVERY TIME There is only one system near me it should open the last one loaded by default You have about 1 minute to read all of the nearby busses After 1 minute it refreshes the data AND SENDS YOU BACK TO THE FIRST SCREEN Where you have to pick your one choice of transit systems Did a high school intern write this app for free Please dont release apps until you are familiar with Apple User Interface Guidelines Bad User Interface stay with Web

Improvement over the web short cut but still some issues The Transit part where you can manually put in your location crashes the app the refresh is extreme annoying and busses going in the same direction should be the same color The colors currently alternate making figuring out which one you are looking for needlessly complicated and just when you figure it out the app refreshes and kicked you back to the GPS screen I use this app every day Pretty good

The app generally works well for me Sometimes it misses my GPS location and lists stops I know are further away than the stop I want but I havent found a bus tracker app that gets it right every time cities scramble signalsits just how it is The problem I have that keeps it from 5 stars is that it autorefreshes way too frequently even inapp I may be in a long list looking for the bus and stop I want only for it to autorefresh out of nowhere and send me back to the top with things listed in a different order VERY annoying and no way I can find to disable it I have favorited key stops I use regularly but Im not always using those stops Only one annoying problem

The website is better than the app Lol Eh

This app is surprisingly good but still has some weird issues Pros Intuitive navigation Supports a bunch of transit agencies across the country Doesnt seem to use too much battery Its accurate and faster than the old way of bookmarking their page Cons Has a 25 second update delay When it refreshes the list of buses automatically minimizes which is a huge pain and a time waster Uses meters for distance measurement which will be confusing for most people You can only add favorite stops not favorite lines If there are a lot of bus routes in a particular area it wont show some For example it doesnt show 72R in downtown Oakland The Transit tab is mislabeled It isnt a trip planner It shows arrivals for a particular stop Useless help feature Almost great

but then the ability to search by line or stop started crashing consistently Useful for a while

I prefer to stay with web app than this Map feature is not working properly Its not showing bus real time location Hope it will correct in next update Map is not working

Finally back Much better than the web interface Love this app Excellent

Poor user experience confusing functionality eg its totally unclear how notifications work and there are no instructions missing obvious functionality no real time map showing all the buses crawling on it no ability to type a destination and have it tell you the best routing Hard to believe so many cities tolerate this crummy service for so many citizens Im sticking with the app Transit which provides much better functionality and ux Still terrible

This app is unreliable Mostly provides inaccurate info on the bus arrivals The mobile app is better Inaccurate data on the iPhone app

Alright so Im someone who relies a lot on the services of the bus and this app comes in handy I would say to make the times a little bit more understandable but besides that 55 Its a very good app

App has different info than the website Stick to the web app It looks good and is easy to use but not ready for prime time Not ready

My watch is 12 hour time as is my iPhone Pleasesave military 24 hour time for the military Suggest an option1224 12 hour time please

Useful app Good

I write this review as I sit here waiting for my usual 755a bus The website says it will be here in 2 minutes The app says the next one might come in 23 minutes though it hasnt left the station yet Oh wait the 755a bus is here Gotta go and delete the app Use the website its more accurate
